The Mark Heng Story .........

I started drawing caricatures in 1990 at Boston's historic Faneuil Hall during the summer of my sophomore year at Boston University.

I drew about ten thousand people during my 3 years there- All shapes and sizes, creeds, colours, ages, and walks of life!

Learned a few tricks along the way: How to draw faces in 3/4 view, how to make babies smile, and how to attract huge crowds by getting them to sing Happy Birthday (actual or not) to whoever I was drawing! Good times, good times...

My philosophy of caricatures is that the drawing should not just look like you...It should look more like you than you do!

How do I do it? By careful observation and exaggeration of what makes you you!
